Beyond Red Tape

Overview

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is inviting feedback to improve government requirements and processes, reduce unnecessary red tape, and simplify how businesses and organizations interact with government. This engagement supports our commitment to continuous improvement and service efficiency.

Red tape can include forms, duplicative processes, information requests, reporting rules, approval timelines, or regulatory requirements that make it harder to run a business or organization.

This engagement will look for practical ways to:

  • Streamline government requirements and processes;
  • Reduce unnecessary administrative burdens for businesses and organizations;
  • Improve government services delivery and responsiveness;
  • Enhance transparency, consistency, and efficiency in regulatory processes; and
  • Strengthen communications between the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and businesses and organizations.

We invite businesses, industry associations, stakeholder organizations, municipalities, and members of the public to take part in this engagement and share feedback and suggestions to help inform future improvements.

This engagement is focused on broad issues and opportunities for improvement. It is not meant to address individual concerns, resolve specific cases, or review regulatory decisions.
