On October 17, 2019, the Provincial Government released The Adult Literacy Action Plan, a five-year action plan for adult literacy in Newfoundland and Labrador. As stakeholders in this plan, the Provincial Government is looking to employers to provide important perspectives on literacy, particularly as it relates to the workplace. 

Closing Date: October 7, 2022

The Department of Industry, Energy, and Technology (IET) is seeking input from stakeholders on ways to improve and modernize the Mineral Act and the Mining Act to provide a clear pathway for regulatory approval and to ensure exploration for, and development of, the province’s mineral resources is responsible, timely, sustainable, competitive and supportive of private-sector investments and job growth.

This is your opportunity to have your say on how the Provincial Government can help increase the well-being of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. This is also a chance to weigh in on the review of the Income Support program. We look forward to your input.

Updated: What We Heard

The election process in Newfoundland and Labrador is administered under the authority of the Elections Act, 1991. The Department of Justice and Public Safety is reviewing the Act to find ways to update it. The Department now wishes to gather ideas on how the legislation can be improved. This information will help us modernize the Elections Act, 1991, making voting a more accessible process for all.
