ATIPPA Statutory Review


The ATIPPA Statutory Review 2020 Committee has been established to conduct an independent statutory review of ATIPPA, 2015.

In accordance with its Terms of Reference, the Committee will examine the operation of the Act and, as appropriate, make recommendations intended to ensure that the objectives of the Act are realized.

Get Involved

As part of its review, the Committee is inviting input from the public.  Here’s how:

  • Written submissions can be made by email, fax, hand delivery or regular mail;
  • Respectful comments may also be made through the Committee’s website by clicking here;
  • Public hearings will be held in January 2021.  If you wish to make a public presentation, please advise the Committee by December 11, 2020

How will your input be used?

Submissions provide a valuable opportunity to assist the Committee in its work.  The Committee may draw upon the contents of presentations and submissions and quote from them in its final report.

In the discharge of its mandate, the Independent Statutory Review Committee may receive personal information. Personal information is collected in accordance with s. 61(c) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015 (ATIPPA, 2015) and will be used for the purpose of informing an independent, comprehensive review of the ATIPPA, 2015.

Please note that any submissions or comments made to the Independent Statutory Review Committee may be made publicly available. Identifying information such as name, address, etc. may also be made publicly available, unless the provider requests otherwise.
